PROJECT FOCUS – LENOVO
United Way UK has worked in partnership with Lenovo for several years, supporting their ‘Global Month of Service’ event in Basingstoke and Glasgow.
In 2021, we helped Lenovo plan activities for both sites based on the needs of the communities local to their offices, and the company’s goals. The planning was a collaborative process with an initial proposal submitted by United Way UK.
Volunteering Activities
Following discussions with United Way UK, Lenovo chose to volunteer in Basingstoke, renovating classrooms in Limington House School, and Glasgow, renovating the sensory garden build during a previous volunteering event at Kirkriggs school.
During these projects:
47 volunteers worked over 321 hours
542 people were supported by the impact
Employees reported a great sense of achievement and personal growth
