BESPOKE INITIATIVES
If you’re looking to launch a company CSR initiative, we can get you started on creating and implementing an impactful strategy.
HOW IT WORKS
We connect our corporate partners with local communities across United Way’s three pillars: health, education and income.
As a first step, we help you determine the cause you would like to support – your initiative should reflect the unique culture of your company. We then help you find the right partners for the project and remain with you every step of the way.
We work with partners across a range of sectors and our international network and experience enables us to align bespoke projects globally where required.
We provide an end-to-end service, from needs-analysis through delivery to impact reporting, and our fantastic partners provide business mentoring remotely and in-person. Best of all – it’s completely free to use.
Businesses can be a force for good, and we're proud to support them in that mission.
“My favourite part of the Day of Caring was all of it, the feeling of knowing this will help someone.”

PROJECT FOCUS – JOHN DEERE
The John Deere and United Way UK partnership has been in place since 2019, working together to combat poverty and improve education.
In October 2020, ‘A Day of Caring’ was adapted for the COVID-19 pandemic to support Hope Nottingham. Hope Nottingham is a network of 15 food banks located across the city, that also provide further financial and social support to the people they work with.
During the event, 16 John Deere employees volunteered for a total of 40 hours. Volunteers packed 180 food parcels, supporting 420 people across Nottingham.
John Deere employees have also most recently become business mentors for ThinkForward, a charity that delivers unique, personalised coaching programmes for young people at a key stage in their lives.
